Each Monday for six weeks, Liz will introduce her new CD by releasing two tracks each week. (Check back – Videos will be released on Thursdays!)

Below are the audio players for those tracks. Listen now – we hope you enjoy them!

Isn’t This Better, Maybe This Time / Sleepy Man

Kander and Ebb (who wrote the music for Cabaret, Chicago, Woman of the Year, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Zorba, The Rink, And The World Goes Round, and Fosse (among others)), combine their many talents to write both of the songs for the opening medley. The combination has never been sung this way before, since a violin is playing the melodic line of what is usually a third voice. Listen to see how it charms you. And then Sleepy Man, a lilting song that fits so well with Liz’s voice and Music Director Gina Giachero’s harp. Liz’s CD (Liz Seymour – That Thing Called Love) will be available at LizSeymour.com on November 12, 2008.

Say The Word / Waiting For Life

Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, the Award-winning composing team from New York, grew up in the Philadelphia area and both were close friends with Liz during their formative year. (Liz and Brian recently realized that they have been friends longer than they have been friends with anyone else, first meeting in Nursery Day School.) Each has stayed close as their paths diverged, and Liz brings new color and power to this recently revised version of Say The Word, giving it its first commercial release. Then comes a delightfully upbeat number from "Once On This Island" by the Tony-Award-winning team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Liz’s CD (Liz Seymour – That Thing Called Love) will be available at LizSeymour.com on November 12, 2008.

Claudia Carlsson, the well-known cabaret singer and Executive Director of one of the country's finest workshops for youth theater (yptw.org), joins Liz for the rarely performed I’ve Been Here Before and It’s Never That Easy. Diva challenging Diva with this one (wait until you hear the power and emotion these two evoke!). Liz then follows with the vocals for the sweet tale of Taylor The Latte Boy – Taylor The Latte Boy Video – Click Here To Watch – It's Very Funny! Liz Seymour – That Thing Called Love

Liz Seymour is interviewed by her business partner and fellow CD producer, Charlie Seymour Jr, about Liz herself AND about each track on the CD. • why she selected each track.
  • what her connection is with each song, including those she has sung on stage.
  • how she first learned about many of these songs.
  • about her connection to Les Mis star Josh Young and well-known cabaret chanteuse, Claudia Carlsson, who sing on the CD with Liz
  • how long she has known the Award-winning Composing team of Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk and when she first played chess with Brian.
  • and why her passion comes through so clearly on several of the tracks.

Is she ready to do another CD right now? Did she like being in the studio? Whose strong hand is evident in each song on the CD? Find out the answer to these and many more questions.
