Liz Seymour reflects: sometimes you need a day off!

Everyone needs a day off, right?

I spent my Monday taking some time to smell the roses.

My good friend Shannon and I went to the Philadelphia Zoo. We met during college orientation and became roommates. We've always had a good time hanging out, so when she brought up the idea of the zoo, I thought it would be a great idea to get out of the house, clear my head, enjoy some friend time and get some fresh air.

We spent about 2 or 3 hours at the zoo and got around the entire park. It was a lot of fun.

I think the highlight for me was when we were in the reptile house and a beaded lizard, I think it was called, was trying to climb up to the glass and onto the little plaque that told zoo guests about his species. It was very funny to watch him climb up the glass and make himself be seen.

After the zoo, we headed out for some lunch and ice cream. By this time, I was very hungry and ate a ton.

My evening ended with my attending rehearsal for Seussical, which opens in about 6 weeks. It is going well and I'm having fun with my part. More to come with that later, I'm sure!
